I thought that I would share with you all some of my favourite games with instructions for those who wish to play these games as well.

It is essential that you have a vast array of different toys to play with, as when one becomes a slobbery mess you can move onto the next one.
My favourite toy is “raggy”, a multi-coloured piece of twine in the shape of a bone. It is great for getting humans to throw for me to chase wildly. I am also able to carry it around and get the humans to chase me and try and get off me. It is great for a game of tug of war. I have also been practising my catching skills with this toy.
If the choice of toys has worn thin, I advise stealing slippers and socks. Running around and tossing them in the air is great fun.
Willing participants
I know that this is hard to believe, but some humans don’t like playing games with dogs. These people have to be worn down until they give in. I start with jumping up at people, licking their hands and wagging my tail very fast. If they ignore me and go and sit down, I sit at their feet and wine in as high pitch a cry as I can manage and look at them with big brown eyes. Sometimes jumping up to make my presence felt helps as their attention can wander. When these people have given into my cuteness, they require toys to play with. I go round the house and collect as many toys as possible and deposit as many as I can on their laps. Eventually they will get the message and throw toys for me to chase.
Outdoor games
When the weather warms up I will venture out and play lots of games in the garden. I am an expert hurdler, so a great game is to have a toy thrown over the flower bed so I can chase and take a flying leap onto the patio and retrieve the toy. Of course I enjoy going for walks and runs, these can’t really count as games but I have a few tactics to excite any dull outing. When running a great trick is to manoeuvre into the path of the legs of a human and see if I can trip them up. Sometimes when I am on my runs I sometimes see bicycles going past me, it is great to see if you can catch these strange machines.
