I have been for a walk down by the Double Locks along the canal in Exeter (also the name of a pub – wonder where this story is going). As has become the norm on my weekend walks, we stopped off for a meal in a pub. I nearly didn’t go in because there was this big dog standing guard over the door, and it scared me a bit (it was growling).
I did go in and luckily the big dog ignored me. Instead it picked on another dog that was in the pub.

you’re so lucky you get to go to the pub. no dogs allowed in the bars here.

I shall cross over the pond and start a doggy revolution and get you in all the bars! How do you relax after a walk in the countryside if not with a plate of chips in a pub!
